HealthierUS School Challenge
Application Deadline: Rolling

The HealthierUS School Challenge (HUSSC) is a voluntary certification initative established in 2004 to recognize those schools participating in the National School Lunch Program that have created healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity. Monetary incentive awards are available for each HUSSC award level. Schools can submit an application at any time during the year.

Smart Snacks in School Smart Snacks in School
United States Department of Agriculture published practical, science-based nutrition standards for snack foods and beverages sold to children at school during the school day. The new standards, required by the Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, will allow schools to offer healthier snack foods, while limiting junk food.
