Weight Loss/Nutrition

There are many resources in the community that can aid in weight loss and teach community members about nutrition and healthful eating.

The Intermountain LIVE program provides weight loss and nutrition counseling for children and adults in individual and group settings. This program is found at many Intermountain Health Care facilities. Information about programs near you can be found on the Intermountain LIVE website. The website also provides links to other weight loss and nutrition resources in the Salt Lake Valley. More specific weight loss and nutrition resources such as gyms and local farms can be accessed through the zip code health resource finder.

Weight Watchers is a helpful weight loss resource. In addition to flexible programs that can work for anyone during his/her weight loss journey, there are also Weight Watchers meet-up groups to help people obtain successful weight loss. These groups can help you stay motivated to reach your goals. You can find a group near you using the zip code finder on the Weight Watchers website.

Additional community resources for weight loss and nutrition are available on the Healthy Eating in the Community, the Gardening Resources for Communities, and the Nutrition Recommendation pages. Lastly, your local health department will be able to further assist and provide you with resources.
