Communicable Disease/Prevention

School nurses are responsible for the teaching of communicable disease prevention. Tips to help prevent the spread of communicable disease includes hand washing, opening windows to keep rooms well ventilated, having good housekeeping and disinfectant policies, requiring children to be up-to-date on immunizations, allowing space between children, and excluding sick children and staff.
